Cape May Court House – 4-H Fair to showcase local artists’ work at a new Art Show to be held during the Cape May County 4-H Fair. The Art Show at the 4-H Fair is open to the public, you don’t have to be a 4-H member to apply. However, registration will take place on one day only, Wednesday, July 20th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lockwood 4-H Youth Center, 355 Court House – South Dennis Road, CMCH, NJ.
Only 30 entries will be accepted. Participants can submit just one entry in any medium and it must be ready to hang or display. The cost to enter is $2 for children (age 14 and younger) and $5 for adults. The submissions will be judged by the public during the 4-H Fair, July 21st through the 23rd with winners announced at the Cavalcade of Winners Award Ceremony, Saturday, July 23rd at 8 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show in three categories: Adult Art, Children’s Art, and Christmas in July Theme.

If You Go to the 2022 4-H Fair…things to know: The annual 4-H fair runs July 21-23 on the 4-H fairgrounds, 355 Court House – South Dennis Road in Cape May Court House. This year’s theme is Christmas in July, so be on the lookout for Santa on the fairgrounds.
The 4-H Fair is a Cape May County tradition that offers family entertainment, live music, and a nightly Chicken BBQ, sponsored by the Cape May County Board of Agriculture. Rides, games and more will be buzzing on the 4-H Fairground’s Midway as amusements return this year and you can even experience the latest craze – Axe Throwing. Other fair favorites include livestock and equestrian shows, a children’s discovery area, and over 50 vendors with delicious food and interesting items.
Public hours for the fair are 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Chicken Bar-B-Que dinners will be available starting at 5 p.m. nightly until they are sold out. Admission to the 4-H Fair is free. However, limited premium parking is available at the Atlantic Cape Community College campus, located next door to the fairgrounds, for a suggested $5 donation. Free parking is available at the Cape May County Park and Zoo with free, air-conditioned shuttle service to the fair provided by Fare Free Transportation. Buses are comfortable, air-conditioned, and fully handicapped accessible.
