Cape May Court House, NJ – Rutgers Cooperative Extension Family and Community Health Sciences Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group will hold a meeting on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 5pm to 6:30pm at Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, New Jersey. The building is handicapped accessible.
Anneliese Kuemmerle, MS, RDN, FCHS Program Associate II for Cape May County, oversees the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program that meets 10 months each year providing information and support to Cape May County grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.
The April program will feature detectives from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office presenting on Internet Safety for Parents. “We are excited to have the detectives from the Prosecutor’s Office present on this very important and timely topic to help our grandparents keep their grandchildren safe when they are on the internet,” said Kuemmerle.
New families are always welcome at the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren caregiver wellness group. The program is specifically designed for grandparents or relatives who have full-time responsibility for raising their grandchildren or kin.
Childcare will be provided for the grandchildren, and a light supper will be served at 5pm with the program following at 5:30pm. There is no charge for this program, however, advanced registration is required by April 17, 2026.
