Cape May Court House – Congratulations to the 2026 4-H Junior Equestrian of the Year, Brynn Gaynor. Brynn, a 7th grade student at Upper Township Middle School, has been in the 4-H Youth Development Program for eight years since she was a kindergartener. She is president of her 4-H club, the Hy-Riders, and a member of the Moonlight Riders Drill Team.
Brynn and her pony, Flower, compete in both English and Western events. Last year she competed at the NJ State 4-H Championship Horse Show where she won Grand Champion in English Working Hunter Pony and placed third in English Hunter Under Saddle Pony and sixth in English Pleasure Pony. In the Western Division, Brynn placed fifth in both Western Halter Mares and Western Pleasure Pony.
Brynn said, “Being part of 4-H is about much more than working with horses, it’s about building character. Through my experiences, I have learned responsibility, teamwork, and perseverance.” She added, “Looking ahead, I am excited for the chance to give back to the program that has given me so much.” Brynn will represent Cape May County at the NJ 4-H State Equestrian of the Year Contest in August in the Junior Division.
