Cape May Court House – Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources will hold the workshop, Basics of Rain Gardens, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Courthouse – South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
The presenter will be Jen Sawyer Caraballo, ANR County Program Associate for Commercial Agriculture, RCE Cape May County. Participants will learn the basics of rain gardens, the benefits of rain gardens, and how to create and install a rain garden. “Rain gardens are a great way to reduce the amount of storm water runoff from your property. The gardens also provide filtration of the runoff water which helps reduce the amounts of nonpoint source pollution that can seep into our waterways,” said Sawyer Caraballo.
This is a beginner class; therefore, no experience is needed. The cost to attend is $5 and refreshments will be provided. Seats are limited, pre-register at: https://go.rutgers.edu/bt9oqtja.
