Cape May Court House – Artists Wanted! The Cape May County 4-H Fair Committee is looking for artists to showcase their work at an Art Show taking place during the 4-H Fair, July 20, 21, and 22. The Art Show at the 4-H Fair is open to the public, you don’t have to be a 4-H member to apply. However, advance registration is required and will be held on Monday, July 17and Wednesday, July 19from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lockwood 4-H Youth Center, 355 Court House – South Dennis Road, CMCH, NJ.
Only 30 entries will be accepted. Participants can submit just one entry in any medium and it must be ready to hang or display. The cost to enter is $2 for children (age 14 and younger) and $5 for adults. The submissions will be judged by the public during the 4-H Fair, July 20 through the 22 in the Lockwood 4-H Youth Center. The winners will be announced, prior to the Animal House Band performance on the Main stage, on Saturday, July 22at 7 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show in three categories: Adult Art, Children’s Art, and Theme: Red, White, and Blue.

If You Go to the 2023 4-H Fair…things to know: The annual 4-H fair runs July 20-22 at the 4-H fairgrounds, 355 Court House – South Dennis Road in Cape May Court House. This is the 52nd year that the fair has been held on the current 4-H Fairgrounds. This year’s theme is Celebrating the Red, White, and Blue! Public hours for the fair are 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Tickets for the chicken BBQ will be sold daily starting at 4:30 p.m. and dinner will be served starting at 5 p.m. Admission to the 4-H Fair is free and there is a host of fun events planned, live entertainment, amusement rides, carnival games, a variety of vendors.
$10 Limited premium parking is available at the Atlantic Cape Community College campus, located next door to the fairgrounds. Free parking is available at the Cape May County Park and Zoo with free, air-conditioned shuttle service to the fair provided by Fare Free Transportation. Buses are comfortable, air-conditioned, and fully handicapped accessible.
