Cape May Court House, NJ – Rutgers Cooperative Extension Family and Community Health Sciences Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group will hold their next meeting on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, New Jersey. The building is handicap accessible.
The presenter will be Alex DelCollo, Financial Advisor for the Diamond State Financial Group. Alex will talk about the importance of financial planning as part of overall wellness. Chris Zellers, FCHS Educator/Asst. Professor said, “Financial Wellness is an important piece of overall wellness for everyone and especially for our grandparents who have the additional financial stress of providing for their grandchildren and in many cases on a retirement income.”
Zellers oversees the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program that meets 10 months each year providing information and support to Cape May County grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. New families are always welcome at the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group. Childcare will be provided for the grandchildren and a light supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. with the program following at 6 p.m. There is no charge for this program, however, advanced registration is required by September 15, 2023.
