Cape May Court House – The Cape May County 4-H Program Advisory Council is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2024 Mission Mini Grants awarded to 4-H Clubs for educational projects. The three Cape May County 4-H clubs receiving grants this year are Horsin’ Around, Tightlines, and Beach Bullseyes.
The Horsin’ Around 4-H Horse Club will use their grant to take a fieldtrip to the New Bolton Large Animal Hospital in Chester County, PA. and the Tightlines 4-H Fishing Club will spend a day at Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ with their grant monies. The Beach Bullseyes 4-H Shooting Sports Club will use their funds to purchase essential supplies and equipment necessary to safely shoot archery inside the 4-H Lockwood Youth Center.
Linda Horner, Cape May County 4-H Program Coordinator, said, “The Mission Mini Grant Program helps our volunteer leaders to provide “hands-on” educational experiences for the benefit of our 4-H youth members. We greatly appreciate the efforts of our 4-H volunteers.”
The Program Advisory Council raises funds for these grants and other 4-H educational needs through fundraising projects and proceeds from the 4-H refreshment booth at the annual Cape May County 4-H Fair. This year’s 4-H Fair will take place on July 18, 19, and 20 at the 4-H fairgrounds, 355 Courthouse-So. Dennis Road, CMCH, NJ. The theme is, “Oh the Places We Will Go with 4-H!”
