Social Wellness Topic of Grandparents Raising Grandchildren May Meeting
Cape May Court House, NJ – Rutgers Cooperative Extension Family and Community Health Sciences Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group will hold a meeting on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, New Jersey. The building is handicap accessible.
The topic will be Social Wellness and will include Painting with presenters Colorful Palette “Wellbeing is an important part of living a healthy and fulfilled life and social wellness is an important component. However, it is often difficult for our grandparents to make time for socialization when they are busy raising their grandchildren,” said Chris Zellers, MMP, Family and Community Health Sciences Educator/Assistant Professor. Zellers oversees the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program that meets 10 months each year providing information and support to Cape May County grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.
New families are always welcome! Childcare is provided and a light supper will be served at 5:00 p.m. with the program following at 5:30 p.m. There is no charge to attend, however, advanced registration is required by May 8, 2024.
