Cape May Court House – Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources will host the workshop“Rain Barrels & Water Conservation” on Thursday, June 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Courthouse – South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
This workshop is part of the 2024 Garden & Grow series. The goal of the series is to teach locals how to improve or expand their home gardens in new ways.
The presenter will be Kerstin Axe, AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassador Serving Watershed Management Area 16. Participants will learn about water conservation, how to create a rain barrel, how rain barrels conserve water, the applications of rain barrels, and how to maintain them after installation. Axe said, “Rain barrels are a relatively simple, but effective, way to do your part in the effort to conserve water! Come see a demonstration on how to create a rain barrel, and then learn of all the good it will do once installed at your home.”
