Cape May Court House – Artists Wanted! The Cape May County 4-H Fair Committee is looking for artists to showcase their work at an Art Show taking place during the 4-H Fair, July 18, 19, and 20. The Art Show at the 4-H Fair is open to the public, you don’t have to be a 4-H member to apply. However, advance registration is required and will be held on Monday, July 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lockwood 4-H Youth Center, 355 Court House – South Dennis Road, CMCH, NJ.
Only 30 entries will be accepted. Participants can submit two entries and the artwork must be ready to hang or display. The cost to enter is $2 per item for children (age 14 and younger) and $5 per item for adults. The submissions will be judged by the public during the 4-H Fair, July 18 through July 20 in the Lockwood 4-H Youth Center. The winners will be announced, prior to the Double Shot Band performance on the Main stage, on Saturday, July 20 at 7 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show in three categories: Adult Art, Children’s Art, and Theme: Oh, the Places We will Go with 4-H.

If You Go to the 2024 4-H Fair…things to know: The annual 4-H fair runs July 18-20 at the 4-H fairgrounds, 355 Court House – South Dennis Road in Cape May Court House. This is the 53rd year that the fair has been held on the current 4-H Fairgrounds. This year’s theme is Oh, the Places We will Go with 4-H!
Public hours for the fair are 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The Board of Agriculture’s famous Chicken Bar-B-Que sells out quickly each evening. Tickets will go on sale starting at 4 pm each day at the Fairgrounds. There will be no advance sales of tickets this year. Dinner will be served starting at 5 p.m. Admission to the 4-H Fair is free and there is a host of fun events planned, live entertainment, amusement rides, carnival games, a variety of vendors.
Limited premium parking is available at the Atlantic Cape Community College campus, located next door to the fairgrounds, for a suggested $10 donation. Free parking is available at the Cape May County Park and Zoo with free, air-conditioned shuttle service to the fair provided by Fare Free Transportation. Buses are comfortable, air-conditioned, and fully handicapped accessible.
