Cape May Court House, NJ – Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Family and Community Health Sciences (FCHS) Program will hold the second of four Kids Cooking Club sessions on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The program, for children 8 to 12 years of age, will take place from 4 to 6pm at Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, CMCH, NJ 08210.
The instructors of the Kids Cooking Club are Chris Zellers, MPP, FCHS Educator/Assistant Professor and Anneliese Kuemmerle, MS, RDN, Program Associate II, Cape May County.
This session will focus on the fruit and the vegetable food groups. Children who participate will learn about the food groups and why it is healthy to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables while making delicious recipes.
Zellers said, “We are excited to offer this Kids Cooking Club so our students will have a hands-on experience in the kitchen. This program incorporates nutrition education and is designed to engage the students from start to finish while teaching them the nutritional benefits of cooking with different food groups.”
The class is open to the public and costs $10 to attend. Space is limited; therefore, registration is required by March 5, 2025. Please register at https://go.rutgers.edu/8wevlyy5.
