Cape May County 4-H youth attended the 2025 New Jersey State Agricultural Convention at Harrah’s Resort and Conference Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey on February 5, 2025.
Nathaniel McCrone, NJ and Cape May County Senior 4-H Equestrian of the Year, Cape May County Outstanding Senior 4-H Members Autumn Richards and Kaitlyn Flynn along with Cape May County Program Coordinator Linda Horner attended workshops and represented Cape May County at the Joint NJ Agricultural Convention Banquet and Award Presentations. Also, Cape May County’s Kaitlyn Flynn represented New Jersey 4-H as a youth speaker during the opening session of the convention.
This year was the first year that Cape May County sent 4-H members to the convention since 2019. “We were excited to once again send representatives to the convention,” said Horner. “It was a great opportunity for our youth to hear New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Edward D. Wengryn and other representatives of the agricultural community talk about agriculture in New Jersey,” added Horner.

4-H Youth Development Program is part of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station and Rutgers Cooperative Extension. 4-H educational programs are offered to all youth, grades K-13, on an age-appropriate basis, without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
