Cape May Court House, NJ – Rutgers Cooperative Extension Family and Community Health Sciences Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group will hold their next meeting on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 5pm to 6:30pm at Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, New Jersey. The building is handicapped accessible.
Yvonne Johnson-Cane, Kinship Navigator Program Supervisor will explain the Kinship Navigator Program and how grandparents can benefit from the program. Also, Anneliese Kuemmerle, MS, RDN, FCHS Program Associate II will present: Popsicle Picks-Healthy Summer Snacks and make one of the healthy recipes for the grandparents to sample.
The Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program meets 10 months each year providing information and support to Cape May County grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. New families are always welcome at the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group. Upcoming meetings will include programs on legal issues such as wills and guardianship and a variety of wellness and other topics.
Childcare will be provided for the grandchildren, and a light supper will be served at 5pm with the program following at 5:30pm. There is no charge for this program, however, advanced registration is required by April 18, 2025.
