Cape May Court House – Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources will host the workshop “Flavors from the Garden: Growing and Using Culinary Herbs” on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 355 Courthouse – South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
This workshop is part of the 2025 Garden & Grow series. The goal of the series is to teach locals how to improve or expand their home gardens in new ways.
The presenters will be Claudia Gil Arroyo, County Agent III, Agriculture and Natural Resources and Jen Sawyer Caraballo, ANR Program Associate II. Participants will learn to identify spearmint, dandelion, cilantro, chives, and saffron, how to utilize these culinary herbs, and how to grow and harvest these culinary herbs. “So many herbs are easy to grow, and you don’t need a lot of space. Plus, it’s a great way to add some freshness to your cooking,” said Sawyer Caraballo.
The cost to attend is $10. Register in advance at: https://go.rutgers.edu/sommyb36.
