Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Family and Community Health Sciences Presents the Program “Functional Foods: Chocolate”
Cape May Court House, NJ – Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Family and Community Health Sciences (FCHS) will present the program, Functional Foods: Chocolate, at the Ocean City Public Library from 6:30 to 7:30pm on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. This in-person presentation is sponsored by the Ocean City Public Library, 1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City, NJ.
Anneliese Kuemmerle, MS, RDN, FCHS Program Associate II for Cape May County, will teach the program. The class will increase participants’ knowledge about plant origin, historical facts, processing, and preparation of chocolate. It will create an understanding of the current research and possible health benefits of chocolate and identify the recommendations for including chocolate in a healthy plant-based diet.
“If you love chocolate, this class is for you! Join us as we explore the rich history and science behind chocolate,” said Kuemmerle.
