Cape May Court House, NJ – Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Family and Community Health Sciences (FCHS) Program will hold a blueberry themed Kids Cooking Club session on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. The program, for children 8 to 12 years of age,will take place from 9:30am to 11:30amat Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, CMCH, NJ 08210.
This session, Blueberry Bonanza, will focus on blueberries in the fruit food group. Children who participate will learn about blueberries, why they are healthy, and make delicious recipes featuring blueberries. The instructor will be Anneliese Kuemmerle, MS, RDN, Program Associate II, Cape May County.
“We are excited to help children connect with one of the Garden State’s most popular crops! We are looking forward to cooking delicious recipes with blueberries and inspiring the next generation to enjoy locally grown food,” said Kuemmerle.
The Kids Cooking Club provides hands-on educational experience in the kitchen. The program incorporates nutrition education and is designed to engage the students from start to finish while teaching them the nutritional benefits of cooking with different food groups.
