Cape May Court House – The Cape May County 4-H Youth Development Program participated in 4-H Days at Tractor Supply (TSC) in Rio Grande, New Jersey on May 3 and 4 during the Spring Paper Clover Fundraising Campaign which ran from April 18 through May 5, 2025.
A little bit of rain didn’t dampen the spirits of 4-H club members, adult volunteers, and their furry friends who were at TSC in Rio Grande, representing the more than 25 Cape May County 4-H clubs, providing information, and lending a helping hand to TSC shoppers. 4-H Clubs that chatted with customers, showed off their project animals, and spread 4-H Cheer included Lambs R Us, The Wranglers, Science Rocks, Beach Bullseyes, and the Little Critters.
“We would like to thank John Knecht, Manager of TSC Rio Grande and the employees at the store who were very supportive and kind to our volunteers,” said Linda Horner, CMC 4-H Program Coordinator. “Also, thank you to the club leaders, 4-H youth and parents who helped make it an amazing experience at TSC,” added Horner.
The 4-H TSC Paper Clover Campaign gives shoppers at the 20 Tractor Supply Company stores in New Jersey the opportunity to support the New Jersey 4-H Program. Shoppers do this by purchasing paper clovers at the store or online. Money raised at the Rio Grande Store directly benefits the Cape May County 4-H Youth Development Program.
Since 2010, Tractor Supply has partnered with the National 4‑H Council to prepare youth to be ready for work and life by providing funds that may be used for leadership and camping experiences. This year, 4-H’s Partnership with the Tractor Supply Company won a 2025 Halo Award from Engage for Good. The partnership received the Gold Award in the Best Consumer Donation Initiative category. For over 15 years, 4-H’s work with TSC on the Paper Clover campaign has brought real, positive changes to communities nationwide. Congratulations and Thank You TSC!
