Kids Cooking Club: Jersey Fresh Fun on July 30, 2025
Cape May Court House, NJ – Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Family and Community Health Sciences (FCHS) Program will hold a Jersey Fresh themed Kids Cooking Club session on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The program, for children 8 to 12 years of age,will take place from 9:30am to 11:30amat Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, CMCH, NJ 08210.
The instructor of this session, Jersey Fresh Fun, will be Anneliese Kuemmerle, MS, RDN, FCHS Program Associate II, Cape May County. Students will learn about locally grown Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables. Plus, they will make healthy and delicious recipes using Jersey Fresh produce.
“We are proud to celebrate Jersey Fresh with this hands-on cooking class that introduces young chefs to delicious home-grown goodies,” said Kuemmerle.
The Kids Cooking Club provides hands-on educational experience in the kitchen. The program incorporates nutrition education and is designed to engage the students from start to finish while teaching them the nutritional benefits of cooking with different food groups.
The class is open to the public and costs $10 to attend. Space is limited; therefore, registration is required by July 16, 2025. Please register at https://go.rutgers.edu/2yhaaozy .
