Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Family and Community Health Sciences (FCHS) Program will hold a Family Friendly Cooking Class: Quick Pickles on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. The program, for adults and children 8 years of age and older,will take place from 6:30pm to 8pm at Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, CMCH, NJ 08210.
The instructor of this session will be Anneliese Kuemmerle, MS, RDN, FCHS Program Associate II, Cape May County. This is a hands-on class, and students will learn how to make, flavor, and store quick pickles. Also, participants will make their own jar of pickles to take home
“Making quick pickles is a fun way for the whole family to enjoy local produce, no canning experience needed,” said Kuemmerle.
The class is open to the public and costs $7 to attend. This is a family friendly class, adults are welcome to also register children ages 8 and older, however, children must be accompanied by an adult.
