Cape May Court House – Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources will host the workshop, “Thrive, Not Survive: Keeping Pests Out of Your Garden,” on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 6:30pm to 8pm at Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 355 Courthouse – South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
This workshop is part of the 2025 Garden & Grow series. The goal of the series is to teach locals how to improve or expand their home gardens in new ways.
The presenter will be Justine Gray, Agriculture and Natural Resources Program Associate I, Mercer County RCE. Participants will learn how to avoid welcoming your four-legged neighbors into your garden accidentally, what methods for repelling are scientifically proven, and how to plan for success.
“We will talk about how to set up your garden to make sure you aren’t accidentally welcoming any critters into your garden while debunking some myths about repellants. We will also cover how to identify which critter is the culprit! You must know what you are dealing with before you can start to figure out a solution,” said Gray.
The cost to attend is $10. Register in advance is required at: https://go.rutgers.edu/lrbxop0j.
