Grandparents Raising Grandchildren September Program on Positive Parenting and Kinship Care
Cape May Court House, NJ – Rutgers Cooperative Extension Family and Community Health Sciences Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group will hold their next meeting on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 5pm to 6:30pm at Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, New Jersey. The building is handicapped accessible.
Chris Zellers, MMP, Family and Community Health Sciences Educator/Assistant Professor for Cape May County, oversees the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program that meets 10 months each year providing information and support to Cape May County grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.
The topic will be Positive Parenting and Kinship Care with presenter Jodi Corbett, MA, CPRS, Lower Township Healthy Youth Coordinator for Cape Assist.
New families are always welcome at the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group. Upcoming meetings will include programs on cyber safety, navigating healthcare, and a variety of wellness and other topics.
Childcare will be provided for the grandchildren, and a light supper will be served at 5pm with the program following at 5:30pm. There is no charge for this program, however, advanced registration is required by September 19, 2025.
