Cape May Court House – Beach Bullseyes, one of Cape May County’s 4-H Shooting Sports Clubs, held two training sessions in November for local Girl Scout Troops.
The Club hosted three troops over two days. On November 9, Troops 41012 and 41375 joined the club at the range on the 4-H Fairgrounds and Troop 40153 attended the club’s meeting on November 16, 2025.
The event was a coordinated effort between the Girl Scout service unit and the 4-H Club to introduce the Girl Scouts to archery in a safe, fun environment. It also gave 4-H members a chance to share the skills they’ve gained through the club. The Girl Scouts earned their Archery Badge during the event and received a special fun patch provided by the 4-H members.
4-H Club Members in attendance included Bobby Andrzejczak, Carter Bryan, Corson Bryan, Edan Simpkins, and Emma Hill.
“The club had a great time. The instructional time was valuable for the 4-H members and provided a wonderful learning opportunity for the Girl Scouts. It was a true peer-to-peer learning experience,” said 4-H Club Leader and Instructor, Bob Andrzejczak.
Club members assisted club leaders and instructors, Bob and Trisha Andrzejczak, with introducing the Girl Scouts to the range and safety procedures. While the Girl Scouts were shooting on a supervised archery range, each 4-H member coached them on technique, breathing, and aim. Finally, they completed a fun archery challenge that put their new abilities to the test.
“With its emphasis on positive youth development, 4-H excels within its own membership and, through events like this, extends that impact to other youth organizations,” added Andrzejczak.
