Cape May Court House – Five Cape May County 4-H teens attended 4-H Winter Camp at Lindley G. Cook 4-H Camp in Stokes State Forest from January 9 through 11, 2026. Cape May County 4-H members in grades eight through one year out of high school participated in the fun learning experience along with 4-H members from Atlantic, Mercer, and Salem Counties plus staff members and volunteers.
Representing Cape May County at 4-H Winter Camp were Emma Gotwols, Josie Griebau, Lilly Carr, Julianna Romano, and Owen Ross. Cape May County chaperones were Donna Griebau, CMC 4-H Program Associate II, and 4-H volunteer Ross Unkle.
Since the camp was founded in 1951, Winter Teen 4-H weekends have been an amazing experience where teens from different counties come together and have a fun weekend. This year, teens from the four counties bonded while enjoying home cooked meals, playing games, and participating in the many fun activities planned throughout the weekend. Linda Horner, Cape May County 4-H Program Coordinator, said, “The camp is always a great experience for our 4-H teens. They have the opportunity to get away with their 4-H friends and make new friends while enjoying fun winter activities.”
