Cape May Court House – Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources presents, “Basics of Beekeeping,” on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Courthouse – South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
The presenter will be Nick Pinizzotto, 3rd Vice President, Jersey Cape Beekeepers Association. Attendees will learn Honeybees’ role in agriculture and horticulture, how honey is made, and ways to support the honeybees.
Pinizzotto is a beekeeper who lives in Pittsgrove, NJ where he tends approximately 10 hives on his family farm. He actively participates in outreach programs helping to educate the public and create awareness about the honeybee’s important role in agriculture and horticulture.
“Are you curious about honeybees? How is honey made? Considered becoming a beekeeper but want to know more about what is involved in keeping bees, or just want to know what you can do to help the plight of the honeybee? this class is for you,” said Pinizzotto.
