There is something for everyone at the 4-H Fair…Like an Array of Live Entertainment!
Cape May Court House – The Cape May County 4-H Fair will be held on July 20-21-22 at the Cape May County 4-H Fairgrounds. This year’s theme is Celebrating the Red, White, & Blue! So, expect to see a lot of patriotic flair as you experience all the traditional fair activities that you expect to see at the 4-H Fair plus a variety of live entertainment. Admission to the 4-H Fair is Free.
This year’s 4-H Fair features a wide array of entertainers that are favorites of Cape May County residents and visitors alike. Live entertainment will include Animal House Band, The Fabulous Greaseband, the John Walter Cape Community Band.
The fair’s headlining event will be, Animal House Band, one of the areas premier Party Dance Bands. The Band from Philadelphia and South Jersey will rock the main stage Saturday, July 22nd from 7 to 9 p.m. Animal House is known for covering various party dance songs from the 50’s through 20’s, specializing in Classic Rock, Party Rock, Reggae, Calypso, Dance, Funk, and Alternative Music.
Enjoy your Chicken BBQ while listening to The John Walter Community Band on Thursday, July 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. The John Walter Community Band will get the party started on Thursday then return on Saturday, July 22 with a quintet and entertain fairgoers from 4 to 6 p.m.
Also performing on Saturday, July 22 at 5 p.m. will be Magician, Mentalist and Ventriloquist Matt Cadabra. Matt will be making his way through the fairgrounds performing his acts along the way!
The Fabulous Greaseband. a best of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Party Band will have everyone dancing the night away on Friday, July 21 from 7 to 9 p.m.
“The 4-H Foundation is excited to bring these talented entertainers to this year’s 4-H Fair. There definitely will be something for everyone,” said Lisa McVey, 4-H Fair Chair.
Other entertainment includes the popular Pet Show on Saturday, July 22 at 10 a.m. – where contestants will have a chance to win a full year’s supply of pet food donated by Smeltzer & Sons Feed & Pet Supplies. The Pet Show is open to all.
Other fair favorites include livestock and equestrian shows, a children’s discovery area, and vendors with delicious food and interesting items. The 4-H Fair is a Cape May County tradition that also offers a nightly Chicken BBQ at 5 p.m., sponsored by the Cape May County Board of Agriculture. Plus, amusement rides, carnival games, and more will be buzzing on the 4-H Fairground’s Midway. Brand new addition Float Boat CO will be sure to delight young and old alike with a lagoon full of paddle boats and water walking balls. What a great way to beat the July heat!
The public hours for the 2023 Cape May County 4-H Fair are 3 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 20 and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22. The 4-H fairgrounds are located at 355 Court House – S. Dennis Road in Cape May Court House, New Jersey.
