Cape May Court House – Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources will hold the workshop Planting and Plant Care on Wednesday, April 16 from 6:30 to 8pm at Rutgers Cooperative Extension (RCE) of Cape May County. This is the third workshop in the 2025 series, Start Your Gardens: Vegetable Gardening from start to finish.
The series includes everything you need to know about starting a vegetable garden from planning & planting to harvesting. Classes are open to all skill levels and take place at the RCE Office, 355 Courthouse – South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
The instructor is Jen Sawyer Caraballo, ANR Program Associate, Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County. “Our first two classes discussed garden planning, soil health, and seed starting. In April, participants will learn the best practices for planting their seedlings and caring for their new vegetable gardens. We want to set our participants up for a successful growing season,” said Sawyer Caraballo
Participants in the Planting and Plant Care class will learn succession planting, companion planting, and plant care (watering, fertilizing, staking, pests & diseases).
