Cape May Court House – Artists Wanted! The Cape May County 4-H Fair Committee is looking for artists to showcase their work at an Art Show taking place during the 4-H Fair, July 17, 18 and 19, 2025. The Art Show at the 4-H Fair is open to the public, you don’t have to be a 4-H member to apply. However, advance registration is required and will be held on Monday, July 14 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lockwood 4-H Youth Center, 355 Court House – South Dennis Road, CMCH, NJ.
Only 30 entries will be accepted. Participants can submit two entries, and the artwork must be ready to hang or display. The cost to enter is $2 per item for children (age 14 and younger) and $5 per item for adults. The submissions will be judged by the public during the 4-H Fair, July 17 through July 19 in the Lockwood 4-H Youth Center. The winners will be announced on Saturday, July 19 at 4pm on the Main Stage on the 4-H Fairgrounds. Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show in Adult and Children’s Art.
“We are delighted to showcase the talented artists in Cape May County at our annual Art Show. We hope everyone who enjoys creating art will participate, young and old,” said Linda Horner, Cape May County 4-H Program Coordinator.

- The annual 4-H fair runs July 17-19 at the Cape May County 4-H Fairgrounds, 355 Court House – South Dennis Road in Cape May Court House.
- Admission to the 4-H Fair is free.
- New this year, well mannered, leashed dogs are allowed on the fairgrounds.
- This year’s theme is “Country Roots & Cowboy Boots!”
- A host of fun events are planned to include live entertainment, amusement rides, carnival games, horse and livestock exhibitions, 4-H club booths and a wide variety of vendors.
- Public hours: 3-10 pm Thursday, 10 am-10 pm Friday (All vendors will be open by 3 pm on Friday.) and 10 am-10pm Saturday.
- The Board of Agriculture’s famous Chicken Bar-B-Que sells out quickly each evening. Get tickets starting at 4 pm each day at the fairgrounds. (No advance ticket sales.) Dinner is served starting at 5pm.
- Limited premium parking is available at the Atlantic Cape Community College campus next door to the fairgrounds for $10. Free parking is available at Cape May County Park and Zoo with air-conditioned shuttle service provided by Fare Free Transportation. Buses are fully handicapped accessible.
- Volunteers are always needed and welcome to assist at the 4-H Fair.
