Cape May Court House, NJ – Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Family and Community Health Sciences (FCHS) Program will hold a Kids Cooking Club Fall Day Camp on Thursday, November 6, 2025. The program, for children 8 to 12 years of age, will take place from 9am to 1pmat Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, CMCH, NJ 08210.
The instructor will be Anneliese Kuemmerle, MS, RDN, FCHS Program Associate II, Cape May County. Students will learn how to pack their own lunch for school, and about the protein food group. Plus, we will be making delicious recipes with protein foods and Fall fruits and vegetables. Lunch will be provided as students will be making their own lunch during class.
“We are thrilled to expand Kids Cooking Club to a longer class! We are looking forward to having more time to help students build practical kitchen skills and celebrate fall flavors together,” said Kuemmerle.
The Kids Cooking Club provides hands-on educational experience in the kitchen. The program incorporates nutrition education and is designed to engage the students from start to finish while teaching them the nutritional benefits of cooking with different food groups.
